Most of the products we sell are not catalogue items. Industrial effluent and industrial sites differ too much for a fixed specification to be honest — so the culture is selected, or blended, against your actual data before it is produced.
That is why our product pages do not publish a viable count, a strain composition or a fixed dosage for every item. A number printed on a web page is a number nobody confirmed against your water. The figure that matters is the one we agree with you after reading your data, and it is stated in the quotation.
The data we work from
What we need from you to start.
If you have a full analysis, send it. If you only have an ammonia figure and a description of how the plant behaves, that is enough for us to tell you whether a biological route applies. What is not useful is a request for a price list — we cannot quote a culture without knowing the duty it has to do.
What we need, and why
| What we need | Typical content | Why it changes the answer |
|---|---|---|
| Influent / source water | COD, BOD, TN, TP, ammonia, salinity, temperature, pH | A culture selected for one water will not necessarily help another. |
| The failure mode | Load spike · toxic discharge · pH excursion · low temperature · filamentous bulking | Organic removal and nitrification fail for different reasons and need different cultures. |
| Reactor and process | Aerobic / anaerobic / MBBR / SBR / lagoon · SRT · temperature range | Whether a population can establish depends on what the process allows. |
| Current biology | MLSS · existing culture · recent history | Compatibility with the population already in the basin decides the outcome. |
| Application and dose point | Inlet · aeration basin · dosing skid · spray bar · CSTR | Same product, different injection point, different result. |
| Loading and variability | Average load, peak factor, batch frequency | A plant that varies needs a programme, not a single dose. |
| End use and destination | Effluent standard · reuse or discharge · destination country | Also decides the MSDS, COA and import paperwork we prepare. |
How a custom culture is produced
Send us your site data
Tell us the parameter, the process and the problem. We will tell you whether a biological route applies — including when the honest answer is that it does not.
